Board to order rate percent levee assessment--annual installmentpayments.

245.475. If it shall be decided to do the said work, itshall be competent for the directors to order the rate percentagreed upon for the cost of said work, to be paid in annualinstallments, in such amounts as may be convenient for theaccomplishment of said work; otherwise the whole amount of saidassessment of the rate percent shall be payable immediately uponthe approval by the landowner of the agreed amount of ratepercent, and shall be a lien upon the lands assessed within thedistrict until paid, and shall bear interest at the rate of notto exceed eight percent per annum until paid, and such interestmay be collected and enforced as part of the assessment or annualinstallment; said assessment or annual installment shall belevied and collected in the same manner as provided in section245.445.
