Penalty for failure of road overseers to keep road crossings inrepair.

245.530. Any overseer who shall willfully fail or neglect tokeep the public road crossings of any levee in his road districtin good repair, so as to insure the safety of the levee, or whoshall fail to repair such crossing when notified by the leveeinspector in writing, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in a sum not less thanfifty nor more than one hundred dollars for each offense, to berecovered by indictment or upon information before an associatecircuit judge.
