Sewer tax bill record--inquiries about taxes--payments.

249.610. 1. The county clerk shall deliver a certified copyof said record of all special tax bills issued under theprovisions of sections 249.430 to 249.660, to the countycollector, who shall incorporate them in a special record knownas "Sewer Tax Bill Record".

2. When any inquiry is made of the county collectorconcerning the amount of taxes against any lot, tract or parcelof land, in addition to the general taxes he shall report theamount of special sewer taxes levied against such lot, tract, orparcel of land. Anyone interested in said lot, tract or parcelof land may pay the amount of said special sewer taxes to thecounty collector who shall receive said payment and mark the sameon his record of said special assessment and shall issueduplicate receipts therefor, one of which shall be filed with thecounty clerk and the fact of payment noted on the record of saidspecial assessment in the office of the county clerk. Such entryupon the books of the county collector shall be evidence ofpayment of the tax bills as therein stated. When the tax billsare issued payable in installments as provided in section249.530, upon presentation of any such tax bill showing byendorsement the payment of any of said installments the countycollector shall note the payment of such installments upon hisrecord of special tax bills and such entry shall be evidence ofpayment of any such installment.
