Two or more municipalities may cooperate to furnish services.

250.220. Any two or more municipalities through theirrespective governing bodies are hereby authorized and empoweredto enter into and perform such contracts and agreements as theymay deem proper for or concerning the planning, construction,lease or other acquisition and the financing of seweragefacilities, including facilities for the disposal of sewage andthe maintenance and operation thereof. Any such municipalitiesso contracting with each other may also provide in any contractor agreement for a board, commission or such other body as theirgoverning bodies may deem proper for the supervision and generalmanagement of the sewerage facilities and for the operationthereof, and may prescribe its powers and duties and fix thecompensation of the members thereof.
