251.290. The regional planning commission may appointadvisory committees or councils whose membership may consist ofindividuals whose experience, training or interest in the programmay qualify them to lend valuable assistance to the regionalplanning commission by acting in an advisory capacity inconsulting with the regional planning commission on all phases ofthe commission's program. Members of such advisory bodies shallreceive no compensation for their services, but may be reimbursedfor actual expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.
