Local units may withdraw from jurisdiction of regionalcommission--hearing--notice.

251.430. Within ninety days of the issuance by the governorof an order creating a regional planning commission, any localunit of government within the boundaries of such region maywithdraw from the jurisdiction of such commission by a two-thirdsvote of the members of the governing body after a public hearingof which notice shall have been given not more than three norless than two weeks prior thereto by registered mail to thecommission and to the public by publication in a newspaper ofgeneral circulation within the boundaries of such local unit ofgovernment. A local unit may withdraw from a regional planningcommission at the end of any fiscal year by a two-thirds vote ofthe members of the governing body.
