Missouri main street program, established--purposes.

251.476. There is hereby established within the departmentof economic development the "Missouri Main Street Program". Theprogram shall provide technical assistance and training forcities' governments, business organizations, and merchants andproperty owners to accomplish community and economicrevitalization and development of older central businessdistricts and neighborhoods. The program shall attempt to ensurethat the business districts of Missouri's small cities remainessential elements to their sense of community and to the state'seconomy. The program shall also operate to increase the abilityof small business and property owners in cities to renovate andenhance their commercial and residential properties.
