Department of conservation created--commission appointment,qualifications--director, appointment.

252.002. 1. There is hereby created a department ofconservation to be headed by a conservation commission of fourmembers appointed by the governor, by and with the advice andconsent of the senate, not more than two of whom shall be of thesame political party. The members shall have the qualifications,serve the terms and receive the expense reimbursement provided inArticle IV, Constitution of Missouri. The commission shallappoint a director of the department of conservation who with itsapproval shall appoint assistants and other employees.

2. All the powers, duties and functions of the conservationcommission, chapters 252, 254, RSMo, and others, are transferredby type I transfer to the department of conservation.
