Property, acquired how--condemnation prohibited.

253.403. From the moneys in the historic preservationrevolving fund, upon appropriation by the general assembly, thedepartment of natural resources may acquire, preserve, restore,hold, maintain or operate any historic properties, together withsuch adjacent or associated lands as may be necessary for theirprotection, preservation, maintenance or operation. Acquisitionof historic property may include acquiring the fee simple titleor any lesser interest therein. Property may be acquired bygift, grant, bequest, devise, lease, purchase or otherwise, butnot by condemnation.
