256.070. It shall be the duty of the state geologist tocollect full suits of all materials, rocks, ores, fossils orother mineral substances of scientific or practical interest orutility as may be discovered, and that may be necessary to form acomplete cabinet collection, to illustrate the various resourcesof the state, as may be necessary to assist in preparing thevarious reports of the survey.
