Bond for expenses.

257.050. At the time of filing the petition, or at any timesubsequent thereto and prior to the time of publication of noticeof the hearing thereon, a bond shall be filed, with securityapproved by the court, sufficient to pay the expenses connectedwith the proceeding prior to a formal decree of the courtestablishing the district. If at any time during the proceedingsthe court is satisfied that the bond first executed isinsufficient in amount, it may require the execution of anadditional bond within a time to be fixed, to be not less thanten days, and upon failure of the petitioners to execute thesame, the petition shall be dismissed.
