Use of money received as aid from public agency.

257.340. 1. The board of trustees, in accepting financialaid from the United States government, the state, any publiccorporation or any person for the purposes of the district, shallplace the funds in the aid fund, to be expended only for thespecific purposes for which they were given. If any surplusremains after the accomplishment of such specific purpose, thebalance may be transferred to the general fund.

2. Any public corporation may aid a district whenever itsappropriating body duly makes appropriations therefor.
