Permits.

259.080. It shall be unlawful to commence operations for thedrilling of a well for oil or gas, or to commence operations todeepen any well to a different geological formation, withoutfirst giving the state geologist notice of intention to drill andfirst obtaining a permit from the state geologist under suchrules and regulations as may be prescribed by the council.
