Compact commissioner and alternate, appointment, compensation, when,expenses, duties.

260.720. 1. The governor shall appoint one member and onealternate member to represent Missouri's interests on themidwest low-level radioactive waste compact commission. Suchappointment shall be with the advice and consent of the senate,as provided in section 51 of article IV of the Constitution ofMissouri. The state's member on the commission, or thealternate, shall be entitled to reimbursement for expensesnecessarily incurred in the discharge of his official dutiesplus, if not an employee of the state, fifty dollars for eachday devoted to the affairs of the commission.

2. Missouri's member on the commission shall also serve onthe advisory committee created by section 260.725, and reportactivities of the commission to the advisory committee,governor and general assembly as requested.
