Notice--penalty.

271.020. If any animal liable to be taken up be found on anyplantation on the fifteenth day of December of any year or on anyday thereafter until the fifteenth day of April following, theoccupant thereof shall cause notice of such stray to be filed inthe office of the clerk of the county commission of the countythereof within five days after the finding such stray. Saidnotice shall be substantially the same as that of intention topost, and must be given before any animal liable to be taken upcan be posted under the provisions of this chapter. Any personor persons failing to comply with the provisions of this sectionshall be liable to a fine of not less than ten dollars.
