291.080. The director of the inspection section is herebydirected to collect any information he may deem necessary tocarry out the objects of the department as set forth in section291.070, and is hereby authorized to furnish suitable blanks tomanagers of public service corporations, county, city andtownship officers, and to the officers of prisons, penal andreformatory institutions, and it shall be the duty of all suchmanagers and officers to furnish such information as the directormay require and which may be in their possession with the leastpossible delay.
