Prevention of dust, smoke and gas.

292.120. Every person, firm or corporation using anypolishing wheel or machine of any character which generates dust,smoke or poisonous gases in its operation, shall provide each andevery such wheel or machine with a hood, which shall be connectedwith a blower or suction fan of sufficient power to carry offsaid dust, smoke and gases and prevent its inhalation by thoseemployed about said wheel or machine; and any violation of thissection is hereby declared to be a misdemeanor, and a person,firm or corporation so violating this section shall, uponconviction, be punished by a fine of not less than one hundreddollars nor more than five hundred dollars for each and everyoffense. It shall be the duty of the director of the inspectionsection and his assistants and deputies to see that this sectionis enforced and to prosecute any violations thereof.
