301.120. When the owner of a motor vehicle moves thevehicle to another state, he shall return the license plates tothe director of revenue within ninety days or upon theexpiration of the period of reciprocity granted by the new stateof residence; or if the owner of a motor vehicle ceases tooperate the vehicle in Missouri, he shall return the licenseplates to the director of revenue within ninety days.
