Result of election--unfavorable vote.

311.150. If a majority of the votes cast on the questionheld under the provisions of this chapter shall be against thesale of intoxicating liquor containing alcohol in excess of fivepercent by weight, by the drink at retail for consumption on thepremises where sold, it shall not be lawful for any person withinthe limits of such incorporated city to, directly or indirectly,sell, give away or barter in any manner whatever intoxicatingliquor, by the drink at retail for consumption on the premiseswhere sold, except malt liquor, containing alcohol not to exceedfive percent by weight, under proper license, in any quantitywhatever, under the penalties prescribed in this chapter.
