Director--appointment, qualifications, compensation.

313.235. The commission shall appoint a director. Thedirector shall perform his duties subject to the direction ofthe commission. He may be removed by the commission for goodcause shown after notice and an opportunity to be heard. Heshall be qualified to direct the operations of a state-operatedlottery. No person shall be appointed as lottery director whohas been convicted of a felony or any gambling-related offense.The director shall receive a salary as set by the commission andsubject to appropriation. He shall devote his entire time andattention to the duties of his office, and he shall not engagein any other profession or occupation.
