Public hearing on application, when held.

316.165. Upon receipt of a complete application and theapplication fee, the county clerk shall set the application forpublic hearing at a regular meeting of the governing body of thecounty, not less than fifteen days nor more than thirty daysthereafter, and shall give not less than ten days written noticethereof to the applicant. The clerk shall promptly give noticeof the hearing and copies of the application to the statedepartment of public safety, sheriff, the state division ofhealth and the state fire marshal who shall investigate theapplication and report in writing to the governing body of thecounty not later than the hearing, with appropriaterecommendations related to their official functions as togranting a license and the conditions for granting a license.
