No liability for release of petroleum at direction of coordinator,exception.

319.135. No person shall be liable under sections 319.100to 319.137 for damages as a result of actions taken or omittedin the course of rendering care, assistance or advice at thedirection of a coordinator appointed by the department, withrespect to an incident creating a danger to the public health orwelfare or the environment as a result of any release ofpetroleum substances or the threat thereof. This section shallnot preclude liability for damages as the result of grossnegligence or intentional misconduct on the part of such personor for reckless, willful, or wanton misconduct.
