Amendment of petition--similar petitions or duplicates.

321.050. No petition with the requisite signatures shall bedeclared null and void on account of alleged defects, but thecourt may at any time permit the petition to be amended toconform with the facts, by correcting any errors in thedescription of the territory, or in any other particular, exceptthat the boundaries of the district may not be enlarged by takingin additional territory, without notice to the owners of theproperty thus affected, which notice may be made by publicationor service of such pleadings and orders on the owners soaffected. Similar petitions or duplicate copies of the samepetition for the organization of the same district, revising theboundaries of the proposed district, or recommending anotherchosen name for the district, may be filed at any time before ahearing is had on the petition, and shall, together with thefirst petition, be regarded as one petition, and shall beconsidered by the court the same as though filed with the firstpetition placed on file.
