Hearing--adjudication--corporate powers.

321.100. Upon the hearing if it shall appear that a petitionfor the organization of a district has been signed and presentedpursuant to the provisions of this chapter, and that theallegations of the petition are true and that no protestingpetition has been filed, or if one has been filed, that the factsadduced in behalf thereof at the hearing are insufficient tosustain the protesting petition, the court shall, by order dulyentered of record, adjudicate all questions of jurisdiction,declare the district organized, define the boundaries thereof,and give it a corporate name by which in all proceedings it shallthereafter be known, and thereupon the district, subject to theelection herein provided, shall be a political subdivision of thestate of Missouri and a body corporate with all the powers oflike or similar corporations.
