Compensation of board members--board may employ personnel.

333.221. 1. Each member of the board shall receive as compensationan amount set by the board not to exceed fifty dollars for each day devotedto the affairs of the board, and shall be entitled to reimbursement of hisexpenses necessarily incurred in the discharge of his official duties.

2. The board may employ such board personnel, as defined insubdivision (4) of subsection 11 of section 324.001, RSMo, including legalcounsel, as is necessary for the administration of this chapter.
