339.515. 1. An original certification as a state-certified realestate appraiser may be issued to any person who meets the qualificationrequirements for certification and who has achieved a passing grade on awritten examination which is consistent with and equivalent to the uniformstate certification examination issued or endorsed by the appraiserqualifications board of the appraisal foundation and the commission.

2. An original license as a state-licensed real estate appraiser maybe issued to any person who meets the qualification requirements forlicensure and who has achieved a passing grade on a written examinationwhich is consistent with and equivalent to the uniform state licensureexamination issued or endorsed by the appraiser qualifications board of theappraisal foundation and the commission.

3. If an applicant is not certified or licensed within two yearsafter passing an examination given pursuant to the provisions of thissection, he or she shall be required to retake the examination prior tocertification or licensure.

4. An applicant who has failed an examination taken pursuant to thissection may apply for reexamination by submitting an application with theappropriate examination fee within ninety days after the date of havinglast taken and failed the examination.
