Technician certification, inactive status, when--notification oftermination of employment--continuing education required, when.

340.312. 1. If the technician leaves the employment or supervisionof the licensed veterinarian and is not employed by or supervised byanother licensed veterinarian within thirty days of the termination of hisor her employment, the technician's certificate shall be placed on inactivestatus. It is the responsibility of the technician to inform the executivedirector within thirty days of termination of his or her employment. It isgrounds for revocation of the technician's certificate if he or she failsto notify the executive director of such termination.

2. Any veterinary technician in the state of Missouri whosecertificate has been on inactive status will be required to complete therequired continuing education credits in accordance with rules of theboard, pay all fees and meet all other requirements of sections 340.200 to340.330 and board rules for registration as a veterinary technician.
