Expiration, renewal of technician's certificate, fees--notice ofrenewal, application.

340.314. 1. The certificates issued to veterinarytechnicians pursuant to sections 340.300 to 340.330 shall expireas established by board rule but may be renewed upon applicationto the board for renewal and payment of renewal fees.

2. At least sixty days prior to the expiration date, theexecutive director shall send a notice of renewal and anapplication for renewal to each certificate holder of record.The notice and application shall be mailed to the certificateholder's last known business or residence address. Failure tomail or to receive the notice and application does not relieveany certificate holder of the duty to apply for renewal or to paythe necessary renewal fee, nor will it exempt the certificateholder from the penalties provided by sections 340.200 to 340.330for failure to promptly renew the certificate.
