341.120. The county commission shall in the establishment ofthe department of plumbing and sewer inspection provide thenecessary personnel and employees and shall provide suitablequarters for such department and shall make adequateappropriation for the necessary equipment, facilities andoperating expenses of such department. The compensation of thesupervisor of the department of plumbing and sewer inspectionshall be fixed by the county commission and shall be payable prorata monthly by the county commission out of the county treasuryand he shall appoint with the approval of the county commissionthe necessary assistant inspectors who shall receive suchsalaries as may be determined by the county commission payable inthe manner aforesaid, and who shall not engage or work in thebusiness of plumbing or drainlaying during the period of theiremployment.
