Certificate of authority required--expiration of, extended how.

354.055. No corporation subject to the provisions of this chapter shallcommence operations or transact any business in this state unless it shallfirst procure from the director of the department of insurance, financialinstitutions and professional registration a certificate of authority statingthat the requirements of the laws of this state have been complied with andauthorizing it to do business. The certificate of authority shall expire onthe last day of June in each year, but shall be extended automatically pendingformal renewal by the director, if the corporation has continued to complywith the provisions of sections 354.010 to 354.380 and of the laws of thisstate.
