362.222. 1. No bank or trust company organized under thelaws of this state shall settle any check drawn on it otherwisethan at par. The provision of this section shall not apply withrespect to settlement of a check sent to a bank or trust companyas a special collection item.
2. Any officer or employee of any bank or trust company whoviolates the provisions of subsection 1 shall be guilty of amisdemeanor. For purposes of this section, the settling of eachcheck in violation of subsection 1 shall be deemed a separateoffense.
