False financial statements, filing of--penalty.

374.216. 1. A person commits the crime of filing a false insurancestatement if he prepares, makes, submits or files a financial report orstatement with the department of insurance, financial institutions andprofessional registration with the purpose to misrepresent the financialcondition of the company in whose behalf such report or statement is prepared,made, submitted or filed. The crime shall require no mental state other thanthat specifically provided herein.

2. The crime of filing a false insurance statement is a class C felony.
