380.521. 1. No company organized or operating under the provisions ofsections 380.201 to 380.591* shall pay any commission or other compensation toany person for any services, as agent, in obtaining in this state any contractof insurance except to an agent, agency or broker licensed by the departmentof insurance, financial institutions and professional registration of thestate of Missouri.
2. Any insurance agent, agency or broker that acts as such in connectionwith the procurement of an insurance contract through a company organized oroperating under the provisions of sections 380.201 to 380.591 shall be subjectto the provisions of sections 375.012 to 375.146, RSMo.
