Free passes and reduced rates prohibited except to certain persons.

387.120. No motor carrier of passengers or household goods shalldirectly or indirectly issue or give any free ticket, free pass or freetransportation for any passenger or household goods between points in thisstate, except that, in accordance with the requirements of this chapter, andunless prohibited by order of the division, a motor carrier may provide in itslawful tariff schedules for the transportation of passengers or householdgoods free of charge, or at discounted or reduced rates to, from or for theaccount of the following:

(1) Any charitable institution or organization which is duly organizedand registered with the office of the Missouri secretary of state as areligious or charitable association pursuant to chapter 352, RSMo, or as ageneral not-for-profit corporation pursuant to chapter 355, RSMo, or anynonprofit, charitable institution or organization organized or registeredpursuant to the laws of any state or the United States;

(2) Any employee, officer or director of the motor carrier, or anyrelative within the second degree of consanguinity or affinity of anyemployee, officer or director of the motor carrier;

(3) Any location or person while transporting passengers or householdgoods for the exclusive purpose of providing relief in case of any generalemergency or disaster.
