Interference with or avoidance of a civil investigative demandprohibited, penalty--attorney general to enforce.

407.080. A person upon whom a civil investigative demand isserved pursuant to the provisions of section 407.040 shall complywith the terms thereof unless otherwise provided by an order of acourt. Any person who, with intent to avoid, evade, or preventcompliance, in whole or in part, with any civil investigativedemand issued under section 407.040, removes from any place,conceals, withholds, or destroys, mutilates, alters, or by anyother means falsifies any information, documentary material, orphysical evidence in the possession, custody or control of anyperson, which is the subject of any such civil investigativedemand shall be guilty of a class A misdemeanor. The attorneygeneral shall have original jurisdiction to enforce theprovisions of this section.
