Penalties.

409.828. 1. Any person who willfully violates any provisionof sections 409.800 to 409.863 shall, upon conviction, be finednot more than twenty thousand dollars or imprisoned for not morethan ten years, or both, for each such violation.

2. The commissioner may refer such evidence as is availableconcerning violations of sections 409.800 to 409.863 to theattorney general or the proper prosecuting attorney, who may,with or without such a reference from the commissioner, institutethe appropriate criminal proceedings under sections 409.800 to409.863.
