Misfeasance or malfeasance--accepting money--improperinfluence--penalty.

411.520. Any duly authorized officer or employee appointedunder the provisions of this chapter who shall be guilty ofneglect of duty, or who shall knowingly or carelessly inspect,grade, test, or weigh any grain improperly, or who shall acceptany money or other valuable consideration, directly orindirectly, for any neglect of duty as such duly authorizedofficer or employee, or any person who shall improperly influenceany duly authorized officer or employee in the performance of hisduties as such officer or employee shall be deemed guilty of amisdemeanor and on conviction thereof shall be fined in a sum notless than one hundred dollars nor more than one thousand dollars,or shall be imprisoned in the county jail, or if in the city ofSt. Louis the jail of said city, not less than six nor more thantwelve months, or both such fine and imprisonment in thediscretion of the court.
