Calibration of weights and measures as prescribed bythe National Institute of Standards and Technology.

413.045. Weights and measures that are traceable to theUnited States prototype standards supplied by the federalgovernment, or approved as being satisfactory by the NationalInstitute of Standards and Technology, shall be this state'sprimary standards of weights and measures, and shall bemaintained in such calibration as prescribed by the NationalInstitute of Standards and Technology. All secondary standardsmay be prescribed by the director and shall be verified upontheir initial receipt and as often thereafter as deemed necessaryby the director.
