Fuels, offered for sale, testing required upon request of director--requested samples, director to inspect and test.

414.042. 1. When offered for sale or when used in thisstate, kerosene, diesel fuel, heating oil, aviation turbine fuel,gasoline, gasoline-alcohol blends, and other motor fuels shall betested and meet the requirements as provided in this chapter.Every dealer, distributor, producer or compounder of such oil orfuel shall immediately upon request make available to thedirector a sample of gasoline, gasoline-alcohol blends, dieselfuel, heating oil, kerosene, aviation turbine fuel, and othermotor fuels at his own expense. The director shall inspect andtest all requested samples for compliance with the provisions ofthis chapter.

2. The director shall not be required to make a completeanalysis of all samples tested pursuant to subsection 1 of thissection.

3. If it is demonstrated that some impurity or imperfectionexists in the sampled product to render it unfit for its intendedpurposes, the director may reject the product for such purposesby issuing a stop-sale order.
