Criminal law enforcement vehicles and certain other vehicles, lawnot applicable--demonstration vehicles for alternative fuelsauthorized.

414.417. 1. Sections 414.400 to 414.417 shall not apply tothe purchase or lease of a vehicle to be used primarily forcriminal law enforcement or to the purchase or lease of amotorcycle, all-terrain vehicle, ambulance, or any type ofvehicle for which the Environmental Protection Agency has notpublished fuel economy comparisons.

2. Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 414.400 to414.417, the department of natural resources may acquire vehicleswhich use alternative fuels for the purposes of assessing anddemonstrating either or both alternative vehicles and alternativefuels.
