Defining the power and authority of assignees.

426.410. Every assignee under the general assignment law ofthis state is hereby declared to be a trustee for the benefit ofthe creditors of his assignor. Any such assignee shall have thepower and authority to prosecute such actions for property andmake such defense to claims against the assigned property as atrustee in a deed of trust, or an attachment or executioncreditor with a writ levied on such property could prosecute ormake.
