Agreements--property held by business entities in otherstates--treasurer, duties--fees.

447.584. The treasurer, with the approval of the governor,may enter into agreements with any person, firm or corporation toassist in the identification, collection, and processing ofabandoned property held by any business entity domiciled andlocated in another state. The treasurer may agree to pay a feefor such services based in whole or in part on a percentage ofthe value of any property received pursuant to such agreements.Any expenses paid pursuant to this section may not be deductedfrom the amount subject to claim by the owner under sections447.500 to 447.595.
