451.190. If the minister or officer who solemnized anymarriage, the record of which has been lost or destroyed, bedead, refuse to give a certificate as required by section451.170, or his whereabouts be unknown, it shall be lawful fortwo credible persons who witnessed such marriage to makeaffidavit to the fact, giving the names of the persons, the nameof the minister or officer officiating, and the date of suchmarriage, which shall be filed and recorded in the recorder'soffice of such county, which affidavit, or certified copythereof, shall be prima facie evidence of such marriage in anycourt in this state.
