Temporary visitation.

452.855. 1. Sections 452.850 to 452.915 may be invoked to enforce:

(1) A child custody determination; and

(2) An order for the return of the child made under the HagueConvention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.

2. A court of this state which does not have jurisdiction to modify achild custody determination may issue a temporary order enforcing:

(1) A visitation schedule made by a court of another state; or

(2) The visitation provisions of a child custody determination ofanother state that does not provide for a specific visitation schedule.

3. If a court of this state makes an order under subdivision (2) ofsubsection 2 of this section, the court shall specify in the order a periodof time which it considers adequate to allow the person seeking the orderto obtain an order from the state having jurisdiction under sections452.740 to 452.845. The order remains in effect until an order is obtainedfrom the other state or the period expires.
