Petition--guardian ad litem appointed--fee, deposit in putativefather registry fund.

453.020. 1. The petition for adoption shall state:

(1) The name, sex and place of birth of the person sought to beadopted;

(2) The name of his parents, if known to the petitioner;

(3) If the person sought to be adopted is a minor, the fact thatpetitioner has the ability to properly care for, maintain and educate suchperson; and

(4) If it is desired to change the name of such person, the new name.

2. The petition for adoption shall include payment of a fifty dollarfiling fee which shall be used to fund the putative father registryestablished pursuant to section 192.016, RSMo.

3. All fees provided for in this section shall be deposited in theputative father registry fund. Notwithstanding the provisions of section33.080, RSMo, to the contrary, money in the fund shall not be transferredand placed to the credit of general revenue at the end of the biennium, butshall be used upon appropriation by the general assembly for the purpose ofcarrying out the provisions of this chapter.
