Support, courts, jurisdiction, effect of determinations.

454.501. Nothing contained in sections 454.465 to 454.510shall deprive courts of competent jurisdiction from determiningthe support duty of a parent against whom an order is entered bythe director pursuant to the authority created by sections454.460 to 454.505. Such a determination by the court shallsupersede the director's order as to support payments duesubsequent to the entry of the order by the court, but shall notaffect any support arrearage which may have accrued under thedirector's order. The director's order shall be pleaded andreceived by the court as evidence of the extent of the parent'sduty of support.
