472.080. 1. Except as otherwise specifically provided inthis code or by supreme court rule, every document filed with thecourt under this code, including but not limited to applications,petitions, claims, and demands for notice, shall be signed by oron behalf of the petitioner or claimant, and shall contain astatement that it is made under oath or affirmation and that itsrepresentations are true and correct to the best knowledge andbelief of the person signing same, subject to the penalties ofmaking a false affidavit or declaration.

2. No defect of form or substance in any documentinvalidates any proceedings after judgment on the document.
