Records to be kept in English language.

476.050. All writs, process, proceedings and records in any court,and in all inferior tribunals established by law, shall be in the Englishlanguage, except that the proper and known names of process and technicalwords may be expressed in the language heretofore and now commonly used,and shall be made in a fair, legible character, in words at length, and notabbreviated; but such abbreviations as are now commonly used in the Englishlanguage may be used, and numbers may be expressed by Arabic figures orRoman numerals, in the customary way. Notwithstanding the foregoing, suchwrits, processes, proceedings and records may be filed, submitted, storedand maintained in an electronic format or otherwise in the manner providedby supreme court rule.
