Clerks, courtroom, other employees--municipalities to provide for,when.

479.060. 1. Where municipal violations are to be triedbefore a municipal judge or judges, the governing body of themunicipality shall provide by ordinance for a clerk or clerks andsuch other nonjudicial personnel as may be required for theproper functioning of the municipal division or divisions andshall provide a suitable courtroom in which to hold court. Thesalaries of the judges, clerks and other nonjudicial personneland other expenses incidental to the operation of the municipaldivisions shall be paid by the municipality.

2. Where the violations of municipal ordinances are heardand determined by an associate circuit judge and, at the requestof the municipality, the associate circuit judge sits at themunicipality rather than in the courtroom provided by the county,the municipality shall provide a suitable courtroom in which tohold court.

3. Where the violations of municipal ordinances are heardand determined by an associate circuit judge and, at the requestof the municipality, a clerk or clerks or other nonjudicialpersonnel are located in the municipality rather than at thecourthouse provided by the county, the salaries of such personneland other expenses incidental to the operation of their officesshall be paid by the municipality.
