Recognizances and forfeitures.

479.210. In case of a breach of any recognizance enteredinto before a municipal judge or an associate circuit judgehearing a municipal ordinance violation case, the same shall bedeemed forfeited and the judge shall cause the same to beprosecuted against the principal and surety, or either of them,in the name of the municipality as plaintiff. Such action shallbe prosecuted before a circuit judge or associate circuit judge,and in the event of cases caused to be prosecuted by a municipaljudge, such shall be on the transcript of the proceedings beforethe municipal judge. All moneys recovered in such actions shallbe paid over to the municipal treasury to the general revenuefund of the municipality.
